Accessibility Dream

We’ve all heard the old joke – the room was so small I had to step outside to change my mind. Well, when you’re in a wheelchair or using a scooter, just about every room becomes smaller and it is difficult to move around.

Joe Gdowski of Dreams Accomplished presents Jeff with a check to cover the expenses for bathroom expansion.

This is the situation that Jeff deals with every day in his bathroom. Jeff has been battling MS for years, but he now requires the use of the scooter to get around. Additionally, he requires assistance when transferring from the scooter. With a small bathroom the transfers were becoming difficult and unsafe. When Dreams Accomplished became aware of the situation we decided we could help to make this situation more manageable and safer.

Jeff’s father, Richard, let us know that with a small amount of renovation, the bathroom could be expanded to make room to move about more easily. A wall was removed between the bathroom and the closet opening up the area and making it much more easy for Jeff to maneuver and transfer.
